LADYSWELL KENNELS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Whilst every care and precaution is taken during booking, responsibility can only be accepted at the owner’s risk.

One person should leave and collect the dog(s). If you need to nominate another person to do either we ask that you inform us of the name and phone number of that person. Id in the form of a driver’s license or a passport will be accepted. The dog(s) will not be released to them without prior consent from the owner and you will be liable for any extra boarding charges should this occur. This is for the safety and security of your dog(s). This does not apply where the dog is collected from your own home.

The Canine Infectious Bronchitis (kennel Cough) is not a requirement, however, if you choose to have your dog vaccinated against it, please not that we cannot accept your dog for boarding until 7 days after it has been administered. Dogs that do not have it will not be covered by our insurance.

Owners must have their dogs vaccinated against Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Canine Parvovirus, Para Influenza. All dogs must be fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks before staying with us. We take no responsibility for your dog contracting any viral diseases whilst staying with us. Please check your vaccination certificates and bring them with you when you check in your dog.

All dogs must have an effective flea and worm treatment at least 2 months prior to boarding. If either is found within the first few days of arrival, the relevant treatment will be sought from the vet and the cost added to your kennel bill accordingly.

Please advise us IMMEDIATELY if your female dog is in season or due to come into season. Although every effort will be made to confine dogs we can accept no responsibility should your dog become pregnant.

We are unable to accept bookings for a dog subject to the terms of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 or any other dogs with aggression problems. If you feel you would like to discuss training and behavioural issues, we can provide …….

Your dog must be wearing a collar with an ID tag and as a legal requirement be microchipped. Collars must be secure so they cannot slip loose. Choker chains are not accepted.

You will need to supply the necessary dog food and treats for the duration of the stay (unless otherwise agreed). If additional food and treats are required you agree, upon presentation of a receipt to refund Ladyswell Kennels.

All Beds, bedding, toys, etc are left entirely at the owner’s risk. Ladyswell Kennels will not be held responsible for lost or damaged items. Kennels are cleaned daily and small toys etc can be easily lost. We also reserve the right to dispose of any items should they become unreasonably soiled. Dogs which frequently need to have their bedding changed due to soiling or damage may incur an extra fee for the laundry or replacement cost.

Any relevant medication will be administered as instructed by owners; however, we are unable to accept any liability for incorrect administration or adverse reaction.

We reserve the right to act in the best interests of the dog(s) at all times this includes seeking veterinary advice if he/she becomes ill. We will contact you immediately should your dog become ill. If you cannot be contacted within a reasonable amount of time or have chosen not to be contacted we reserve the right to seek appropriate and swift veterinary attention and proceed with treatment regardless of costs, which you agree to cover. We will do everything needed for the dog as regards treatment, comfort and recovery. If euthanasia is absolutely necessary (determined by the vet) for whatever reason excluding behavioural (aggression etc) we will accept and act upon that vet advice.

In the event of a dog(s) not being collected 14 days from the agreed collection date, we reserve the right to take any action deemed necessary regarding future ownership.

SIGNING THIS DOCUMENT IS CONSENT FOR TWO DOGS FROM THE SAME HOUSEHOLD MAY GO INTO ONE KENNEL TOGETHER.

If two dogs from the same household no longer’ get on’ then I may separate the two dogs.

If there is evidence of external parasites, then with this consent I may administer treatment via the vets.
Booking / Payment / Cancellations

To reserve a place for any dog, a completed booking form, together with 50% deposit is required. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances and is offset against administration. We operate on a’ first come first served’ basis with bookings. All remaining fees are payable in full upon arrival at Ladyswell Kennels, we accept cash and all major credit and debit cards.

No dog(s) will be accepted into the kennels without a UK contact name, address, and telephone number. Owners or their contacts will be asked to remove difficult dogs from the kennels. Owners must make the contact aware of this responsibility.

We charge for the day in and out (any part of the day counts as a whole). Dogs arriving late will be charged from the original date of booking unless prior notification is given and agreed by Ladyswell Kennels. Refunds cannot be given for early returns.

We reserve the right to charge the full cost of boarding if cancellation is made less than 2 weeks before the day of drop off.
Arrivals / Departures

We are open 365 days of the year. Opening hours for drop off and collection of your dog(s) are 10am-11am and 3pm -4pm daily with an out of hour’s availability between 8am- 6pm for an additional fee, with exception of the Christmas and New Year period.

We prefer dogs to be brought in as early as possible to help them settle and experience a full day with the staff, particularly for our first time boarders.

Having dealt with the necessary paperwork and settled the boarding fees, dogs will be taken will be taken from the customer by the kennel staff. No owners will be permitted to take their dog(s) into the kennels for insurance and health and safety purposes. This also helps reduce stress on the dogs boarded.

It is stressed that all dogs must be on leads at all times when owners bring them and collect them. Also all dogs must be kept in the customer’s car until met by a member of staff as we accept no responsibility for loss or injury.

Whilst in care, no dog will be allowed visitors as this can upset them.
Boarding Fees
Dog Boarding: Discounts available for extended stays via our loyalty cards.
